woe the fall, oh woe

i'm wound pretty tightly today, and cleaning all the shit on my desk up hasn't helped. I spent most of yesterday working on my applications, though i did find time to interact with relatives over for a mock birthday party for my sister, and i also was able to talk to dan and adam. late that night, i showed mom some clips from bullshit, which she rather enjoyed i think. i am trying my damndest to hijack netflix to get the sorts of movies i want for my last 2 weeks here. grandad was a real dick to me and i finally just walked away from the table instead of telling him to go suck a dick or something along those lines. its amazing how he just waits for me to do anything minorly wrong and then blows them out of proportion (this time it was about my cell phone). i saw eli's crowd of friends when they hung out last night until about 1 AM, and they are actually pretty fun guys though i still think the girls are both vacuous AND ugly. woe.

i dont like how everything is winding down here. i think i've just got to push through to wednesday and leave a lot of other things behind. kate might come to LA this weekend to see the king tut exhibit, and offered me tickets if i would like to go. rachael hasnt called me back but if kate doesnt end up coming she said she send me the tickets anyway... and i think rach would want to go. am planning on surfing a good amount this week in addition to plowing through the applications i can; i would like to get the mundane fill in your name type shit done by the weekend, and have all the 4 fellowship pre apps due in the fall taken care of as well. I've got some material to start studying the GRE with, and i've made a plan for how to occupy my time at duke. I've spent a lot more time recently on match.com and nerve.com, i may actually start trying to contact people in the durham area, i mean, what the hell it's worth giving things a shot. it's going to be a busy fucking fall, but i'd love to have some fun, too.
